Biography - Charles Ascello


Most recently Charles worked as a regular on the television series Trauma, on the set of Clint Eastwoods/Matt Damons Hereafter, produced, directed and cast the television pilot Self Help, wrote, produced, directed and staged the full length stage production of Earthly Spirits-a drama with song and dance, Richard Gere's latest film, Bee Season, has done a national DHL commercial, and directed critically acclaimed versions of Godspell and the Gilbert and Sullivan operetta Princess Ida.

Charles has appeared in over forty film productions on sets with stars including Martin Sheen (West Wing), John Lithgow (Third Rock from the Sun), Charlie Sheen (Wall Street), and award winning directors such as Brian DiPalma and Bill Badalato. He's done several television productions and has had starring roles in Nash Bridges, Walker Texas Ranger, Raising Cain, Americas Most Wanted, Ford-Toyota-Mervyns commercials and HBO promos, to name a few.

Charles has performed in and directed over 50 stage productions, including starring roles as RP McMurphy in One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, Stanley Kawalski in A Street Car Named Desire; Bus Stop; Romeo and Juliet, Harvey, Miami Lights, A Midsummer Night's Dream, Royal Hunt of the Sun and more. He is also a professional print model and currently has his first screenplay circulating.

For the last ten years Charles has devoted the majority of his time to building Chās School of Film and Television into one of the San Francisco Bay Area's finest acting schools, and helping to develop future talent.
